Business Success Formula:
To be determined, conscientious and goal-oriented.

After working as market development officer for years, I understood that the time had come to set up my own business. At that time, as an active citizen, I used to participate in many seminars, forums, round table meetings where the issues of the disabled were being discussed. Getting acquainted with their problems, I decided to start an initiative so that I could employ them. I had various ideas.
At that time Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) and European Union were implementing “Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia” project in Lori region and I became one of the participants. For a month I participated in business training. I presented the business plan on the production of silver jewelry and souvenirs, which was approved and I was awarded grant to bring my plan to reality. The main aim of the business plan was to enhance and develop the production of silver jewelry and souvenirs. One of the main characteristics of our organization’s human resources management is that our employees are disabled people 16-50 year old, who, before having this job, were isolated from the society. By involving the people with limited abilities we foster their integration in society at the same time ensuring workplaces for them. More than five people with limited abilities are involved in the production of silver jewelry.
We have our loyal customers. We participate in charity fairs, conferences organized by AYWA, which give opportunity to find new partners and markets in different countries in the world.
I would advise business women to be more determined, conscientious and to follow their goals.
