Business Success Formula:
To believe in your own power and capacities.
I am Gohar Gasparyan, born in 1992, in Spitak town of Lori region. I have higher education and I am a pedagogue. Apart from my pedagogical experience I have also had experience in meat processing and meat production.
We have an orchard. Currently I am engaged in gardening. Without using chemical pesticides and fertilizers with our family members we cultivate the land and we harvest organic product. Because of lack of appropriate conditions for storing and maintaining the product, part of the crop goes off and we cannot sell it. It was required to create refrigerating culture to store the crop.
In 2015 I participated in “Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia” project organized by Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA). Participating in the courses I gained knowledge on business organization, developed a business plan on “Refrigeration culture” and was awarded a grant to start a business. Thanks to the grant and family investments we managed to create refrigeration culture in Spitak where we will stock not only our garden’s fruits but the fruits gathered from throughout the region. This process will contribute to the storage and sales of fruits in the region.
I express my gratitude to AYWA and European Union for implementing such project and for promoting women’s entrepreneurship.
