TITLE: Local Communication Manager and Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION Local Communication Manager and Assistant is the local supporter of the Project Implementation Team.(S)he will be responsible for the local support of the communication group of activities, provide guidance for the project management and implementation from the communication point of view, will provide office assistance and any other kind of assistance for the local managers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Management:
- Create the communication strategy and communication plan
- Develop the communication strategy and take responsibility for the effective use
- Providing the media with information about the organization and project, preparing news releases, researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
- Communicating important announcements to the target group of the organization
- Maintaining and updating information on the organisation’s website
- Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr/[list][list]Monitoring and evaluation of the actions implemented that shall be performed throughout the project duration
- Assist the project team in the implementation, preparation and organisation of the project activities, completing all necessary arrangements in advance and in a timely manner
- Provide support to the Project Manager in planning, daily implementation and monitoring of annual work plan activities
- Provides logistical, financial and administrative assistance to the project team, as well as experts
- Makes practical arrangements connected to project activities (travel, visa requests, accommodation, meeting venue bookings, local transport arrangements, interpretation etc.)
- Participate in ongoing formal and informal meetings with staff, counterparts, contractors;
- Actively get engaged in publicizing AYWA activities, providing general information regarding AYWA and the programs' purpose and how those interested might participate, as well as promoting understanding of program accomplishments
Other
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as requested by the Project Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Management, Administration, or other relevant field;
- At least 2 years of work experience in communication at the local and international level;
- Fluency in Armenian, English, and Russian languages
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, team building skills
- Excellent knowledge of computer applications and usage-word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict time frames
- Fair and devoted attitude towards the work
- Desire and ability to work in a team environment;
- Ability to travel inside Armenia and abroad
