Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia

The three-day training course within "Joint Efforts for Development" project.

From July 21 to July 23, 2015, Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) and AYWA partner International Finance Corporation (IFC) had organized the three-day training course.
The training course was for about 70 women entrepreneurs from Akhtala, Shamlugh, Mets Ayrum and Neghoc communities of the country’s Lori region, who are the partners and beneficiaries of the AYWA.
The goal of the training courses is to hone their wild harvesting skills and hygiene practices that will help make wild berries and herbs more competitive, boosting sales and creating favorable conditions for investment and export.
The training courses are part of the Armenian Young Women’s Association’s “Joint Efforts for Development” project.
Armenian Young Women’s Association has been implementing “Joint Efforts for Development” project since August 1, 2014. The project is financed by the US Department of State and US Embassy. The Project is being implemented in Lori region Akhtala, Mets Ayrum, Shamlugh and Neghots communities.
The Project aims to increase women’s income through promotion of women’s teamwork and responsibility, as well as through their professional skills development, use of innovation and technical upgrade of groups

The IFC Armenia Investment Climate Reform Project is implemented by the World Bank Group Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice, in partnership with Austria’s Federal Ministry of Finance and Hungarian Partnership Funding/Hungary EXIM Bank.
