Goal and objective of the project:
The TEAWAY project aims to strengthen the cultural link and to enhance the respective capacities to better capture the economic growth potential given by the tea.

Strategic orientation:
TEAWAY project focuses on the very specific element of the Black Sea agriculture which is the cultivation/production and marketing of tea. This means that the overall project objective is to Promote and show the local and regional tea products and their procedures to creating new market opportunities. Agriculture is still a substantial or major component of the Black Sea Basin national economies. This means that this sector represents a significant part of export and employment. The project considers tea as an agricultural product which should be among the main goods traded between the BSB countries.

Function:
The International Technical Assistant will represent AYWA in the co-management of the project. He/she will advise and assist the local Project Implementation Team, will provide technical and strategic guidance and supervision to the PIT during the implementation of the project.

Main duties and responsibilities:
As co-manager of the project, the expert will support the project partner in the elaboration and the adoption of the project management mechanisms and tools and procedures at the local level circumstances as well as;
  • Represent AYWA in relation to project planning, implementation and reporting;
  • In collaboration with local project manager will provide adequate and up-to-date information about the project’s progress;
  • Oversee the quality control of the project’s monitoring;
  • Give guidance to the Local Project Manager and PIT in terms of implementing the Project activities;
  • Organize various events, including openings, presentations, and thematic events as may be revealed during the assignment period, develop Terms of References (ToRs) for outsourced services.
  • Assist the Project team in building partnership and maintaining with stakeholders: national and local authorities;
  • Perform other task relevant duties as required.

Project management expert will assist the Local Project Team in the day-to-day project management in the case of possible bottlenecks as well.

Profile:
Diploma: - Higher University degree in Economics, Management or other relevant field.

Experience: - Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management;
- Experience for at least 3 years in implementation and/or monitoring from the technical and financial point of view of EU financed projects;
- Proven expertise in the development and implementation of international projects;

Competencies:
- Team working skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of Russian would be an asset;
- High degree of independence and responsibility;
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Result-oriented, fact-based management approach;
- Excellent report writing skills;
- Good knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; web applications, Access, Advanced knowledge of Social Media, etc).
