The presentation of business plans, developed by the participants of entrepreneurs training was held in Akhtala town, Lori region. Entrepreneur training was held within Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project, which has being implemented by Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) and is funded by the European Union.
Active and beginner women entrepreneurs, agriculturists, as well as formal and non-formal women’s groups from Akhtala, Shamlugh, Mets Ayrum and Teghut communities participated in trainings.
Women who participated in the trainings and successfully finished them got certificates.
The trainings are conducted through Competency-Based Economies through Formation of Enterprises (CEFE) methodology.
The training duration is one month. It includes trainings, personal counseling, business project developing and its presentation.
The purpose of these business trainings is to support the improvement of social and economic situation of women in Lori region through developing entrepreneurship skills and knowledge among the women.
The best business proposals will be selected based on the developed criteria and will be funded by AYWA.

Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) has been implementing Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project in Lori Region since May 2013. The project duration is three years from May 2013 to May 2016.
The goal of the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project is to promote the development of women’s social and economic capacities in Lori region and the improvement of women’s social and economic situation. The project partners are CISP organization, Lori Marzpetaran and Vanadzor municipality.
The project is funded by the European Union.
