The Armenian Young Women Association and the Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia have joined the Global Women's Leadership Network. A memorandum to that end was signed in Yerevan on Wednesday between the Armenian Young Women Association and the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs (FCEM).

The document providing for cooperation in the field of alternative energy was signed in the framework of the International Conference of Women Entrepreneurship and Women's Entrepreneurship Week Yerevan, being held 9-10 June in the Armenian capital city under the auspices of FCEM.

"The World Association of Women Entrepreneurs is an influential international organization with many countries using its services not only for installation of alternative energy systems, but also for searching for environmental solutions for irrigation systems," said Lilit Asatryan, head of the Armenian Young Women Association.

"Many countries are reconsidering their sources of energy and we think that Armenia should join their ranks as alternative energy sources will benefit the residents of the country," said Asatryan.

According to her, the Armenian Young Women Association and the Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia will sign three more memoranda of cooperation with European organizations in the field of women's entrepreneurship.
