PRESS-CONFERENCE IN ARMENIA

On October, 27, 2012 in Yerevan Armenian Young Women Association (AYWA) organized a press-conference on which there was presented the project “New breath of culture: fill heritage with life of arts” and the Project Director Olena Afanas'eva shared with journalists the first impressions of the monitoring visits. The event was visited by the representatives of print and electronic mass media and also of TV channels. Among them there were Armenpress News Agency, Tert Daily, Aravot Daily, Yerakouyn.com (news portal), Panorama.am (on-line-edition), ARMNEWSTV, etc.
The President of AYWA Lilit Asatryan underlined that the project is aimed at meeting two basic objectives – promoting cooperation between museums and NGOs and introducing new approaches to development of the museum sphere. “Museums appear very static structures which practice no less static approaches, but numerous examples in the world show that the museum sphere walks away from an image of an exceptionally exhibition space. A museum can be a very good platform for non-formal education, especially for young people”, – Mrs. Asatryan said. “In addition, partnership with NGOs will help museums become attractive for tourist companies, as museums are an integral part of the tourism development conception. And, certainly, we should not forget about such important component as trainings which promote sharing experience between the countries-project participants”, – she added.
Lilit Asatryan reported also that there had already been signed a Memorandum of Collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Republic Armenia and NGOs. In relation with this the project “New breath of culture” receives support at the governmental level what as the organizers of the press-conference state is supposed to promote considerably efficiency of lead through of all project stages, beginning from involving greater amount of participants and completing actually with implementation of partner projects.
