“Female Food Hero” award is a way;
- To identify women who are active in agricultural food production area thus being the part of communities’ sustainable development
- To present agronomist and farmers’ activities which brought positive changes as well as success stories
- To encourage women who produce agricultural eco-food in making unique and exemplary investment in development of their families and communities.
This time extending its frameworks the fourth “Female Food Hero-2014” award was held based on memorandum of understanding signed between the Agricultural Alliance (AA) and Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.
“Female Food Hero” prize awarded candidates included nominees, nominated by the Armenian Young Women’s Association: Armenuhi Aghababyan (Lori region, Akhtala) and Roza Kirakosyan (Lori region, Neghots), who are active beneficiaries of Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia project implementing by Armenian Young Women’s Association in Lori region.
“Female Food Hero”-2014” award was accompanied by a booklet presenting hero women in agriculture; in addiction it included exhibition fair and tasting of agricultural products produced by the latters.
Agricultural Alliance was founded in 2011, and includes more than dozen local, national and international organizations that combine their efforts and experience to assist for solving existing problems in Agricultural sector in RA. Armenian Young Women’s Association is a member of the Agricultural Alliance since 2012.
