The pottery group was founded in Akhtala by Armenian Young Women’s Association. Within the group the first course was held at AYWA Akhtala office. The course is for young women and girls from Akhtala and neighboring communities. The course participants will gain new knowledge and skills in pottery, as well as will learn about traditions and secrets of Armenian pottery.
At the end of the first day participants were very excited and happy with their first works made from clay. “At first I thought that nothing would succeed, however at the end of the day we were able to make simple household items, glasses, small vases and ashtrays. We are looking forward to next course day.”-said the member of Women’s Council of Akhtala Gayane Paranyan.
