Some 50 Armenian organizations have taken part in the female entrepreneurship exhibition opened Wednesday in Yerevan, Lilit Asatryan, the chair of the Armenian Young Women's Association, told ARKA News Agency.

The exhibition is organized as part of the Women's Entrepreneurship Week being held in the Armenian capital city.

Women entrepreneurs from Armenia's different provinces as well as representatives of international and local organizations and diplomatic missions have been invited for the event.

«Women entrepreneurs and the organizations where management is impossible without women are taking part in the exhibition,» Asatryan said. «The participants are mostly members of the Armenian Young Women's Association, but we have also invited some foreign partners to show our country's industrial capacity to them.»

Asatryan said that the exhibition gives cooperation opportunities to participants and provides them information about products.

«I can say for sure that many Armenian women have found outlets and consumers for their products thanks to our exhibitions, and this is our main goal,» she added.

In her words, the Association makes every effort to develop female entrepreneurship in Armenia by conducting seminars, discussions etc.
«The Association is also implementing a joint women-supporting program with the European Union in Lori province,» Asatryan said. «Under this program, we are providing financial assistance to women entrepreneurs for establishing their own businesses.»
