On April 12 the presentation of www.businesswoman.am website was held in “Congress” hotel (address Yerevan Italia 1). The website presents “Women Entrepreneurs Network”, it includes activities of women entrepreneurs also carries information news, announcements, as well as provides the opportunity to hold discussions and to find partners.
Armenian Young Women’s Association is continuing to implement projects that promote women's economic, cultural, civil and political participation by staying loyal to its policy and working for increasing women’s role in Armenia.
Since last year AYWA is implementing “Women Entrepreneurship Development in Armenia” project for promoting women’s economic participation.
“Women Entrepreneurship Development in Armenia” project is implementing with the support of the US Embassy in Armenia.
The aim of the “Women Entrepreneurship Development in Armenia” project is to foster women’s economic participation through the creation of Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia, as well as to emphasize the importance of woman’s economic involvement and establishment of strong partnership between women entrepreneurs of all regions.
The project is designed for women entrepreneurs representing various economic sectors and types.
Within “Women Entrepreneur Network” the project brings together women entrepreneurs from all regions.
The “Women Entrepreneurship Development in Armenia” project components are

• Creating Women entrepreneur Ambassador system
• Discussions, trainings, meetings
• Encouraging events and competitions
• Mentoring project for Women Entrepreneurs
• www.businesswoman- Women Entrepreneurs network on the internet.

Along with the presentation of the site, photo contest on the theme "Women and entrepreneurship" was announced. All the photos were required to reflect the activities and role of women entrepreneurs, their success stories and problems in Armenian reality. The deadline for photo submission was announced to be on May 10 of 2012.
