Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) was hosted in video conference organized by the US Alumni Association of Armenia, in partnership with US Embassy in Yerevan and American Corners.
AYWA president presented the “Joint Efforts for Development” project, which is being implemented with the support of US Department of State and US Embassy in Yerevan.
The project plans to increase the efficiency of sales and gathering of wild berries and herbs in Akhtala, Shamlugh, Mets Ayrum and Neghoc communities of Lori region through promotion of women’s teamwork and shared responsibility, as well as through their professional skills development, use of innovation and technical upgrade of groups.
During the meeting AYWA president Lilit Asatryan, who is the winner of the last year's Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) call, shared the experience with the participants. AEIF plans to encourage US Alumni to comprise teams and apply for funding. The meeting was attended by US Alumni from Yerevan, as well as from Gyumri, Vanadzor, Charentsavan and Kapan, who had joined the meeting by video call. During the question and answer session participants received answers for their questions.
