Armenian Young Women’s Association’s open-air charity fair took place, which was dedicated to Women’s day. AYWA had organized an open-air charity fair within the framework of its 10th anniversary, with the support of "The development and maintenance of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO.
Individuals and organizations from Yerevan and the RA regions participated in the charity fair with their products (works of art, jewelry, souvenirs, dessert, spices, handicrafts, etc.). Syrian Armenians and the members of Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia, which has been established and coordinated by AYWA, also participated in the event.
The charity fair was accompanied by a cultural program with the demonstration of the preparation of Armenian traditional dishes by Artavazd Sarukhanyan, the representative of "Development and Maintenance of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO and Vanuhi Hovhannisyan’s performances. A children’s corner was organized within the framework of the event.
The honorary guest of the charity fair was John Heffern, the US Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador in Armenia, who highly assessed the importance of the event for the encouragement and promotion of the economic participation of local producers and women.
All the revenue received from the charity fair will be used for implementing projects aimed at promoting women’s economic participation in the regions of Armenia.
