Since November 2017, AYWA has been implementing “Promoting Women’s Participation on Local Level through Social Entrepreneurship” project in all the regions of Armenia and Yerevan. The project has been co-funded by the Government of the Netherlands.
The goal of the “Promoting Women’s Participation on Local Level through Social Entrepreneurship” Project is to increase participation of women in social, political, and economic life of their communities through enhancing their skills and abilities and endorsing their self-confidence and motivation.
The aim of the conference is to share the results and achievements of the program with the broader layers of society, as well as to address the issues of women entrepreneurship. The conference will be accompanied with the fair showing the results of the projects have been implemented by the sub-grantees.
In the framework of the “Promoting Women’s Participation on Local Level through Social Entrepreneurship” Project (2017-2019);
  • 26 Women Councils have been established.
  • 11 Women Councils have received subgrants for implementing community and inter-community joint initiatives.
  • 12 Women Councils have received subgrants for establishing social enterprises.
  • 300 women have an opportunity to receive knowledge and skills for entrepreneurial activity.
