AYWA in 6th Panarmenian Barbeque Festival

The 6th traditional barbeque festival was held with the support and participation of Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) in Akhtala.
The teams of the Ministry of Defense of RA, the students of special schools and Vanadzor orphanage, Armenian restaurants and also teams from Georgia were participated in the festival.
The winners were nominated in “The Best Taste”, “The Best Idea”, “The Best Appearance”, “The Audience Sympathy”, “The Best Booth” and other nominations.
Armenian Young Women’s Association was awarded the prize and certificate in “The friendly team” nomination.
The team of the Ministry of Defense of RA was awarded Zhirayr Asatryan special prize by the “Zhirayr Asatryan memorial fund” and president of AYWA Lilit Asatryan.
The festival is accompanied with the performances of the Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense, The Beautified Project rock band, national songs, music and dance groups’ performances.

The panarmenian barbeque festival has been conducted since 2009. Armenian Young Women’s Association has its unique role in creation and realization of festival idea. The festival aims to contribute the image formation of Armenia and Akhtala community as an attractive and favorable tourism destination in domestic and international market. It also aims to contribute the development and maintenance of culture and traditions by making popular and internationally recognizable Armenian traditional dishes especially various types of barbeque.
