Presentation of Business Proposal Marketing Plans in Alaverdi

The presentation of marketing plans of the business proposals developed by the participants of the training on business proposal development took place in Alaverdi. The training was conducted within Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project. The participants presented their business ideas, projects for their development, as well as the competitive advantages and weaknesses of their initiatives.
The final presentation of the participants’ business plans will take place on May 6 2014.
Entrepreneurs training launched on April 8, 2014.
Active and beginner women entrepreneurs, agriculturists, as well as formal and non-formal women’s groups from Alaverdi, Haghpat, Tsaghkashat and Akori communities participated in the business trainings. The training is conducted through Competency-Based Economies through Formation of Enterprises (CEFE) methodology. The purpose of these business trainings is to support the improvement of social and economic situation of women in Lori region by developing women’s entrepreneurship skills and knowledge.
The duration of the training is one month. It includes training workshops, counseling, business development and presentation of business projects.
The women having participated in the trainings have got an opportunity to develop business ideas and proposals, and submit them to AYWA for funding. The best business proposals will be selected based on the developed criteria and will be funded by AYWA.

Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) has been implementing Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project in Lori Region since May 2013. The project duration is three years from May 2013 to May 2016.
The goal of the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project is to promote the development of women’s social and economic capacities in Lori region and the improvement of women’s social and economic situation. The project partners are CISP organization, Lori Marzpetaran and Vanadzor municipality. The project is funded by the European Union.
