Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia

Study visit to Hyelandz Village Resort guest house

On the 5th of August, another study visit was implemented in the frame of “Developing Women Enterpreneurship in Armenia” project. Women Entrepreneurs Network members from Yerevan and regions visited Hyelandz Village Resort in Geghadir community (Hyelandz Resort Village is also a member of the Women Entrepreneurs Network). Hyelandz Resort Village is managed by Caroline Zakaryan and her family.
“A lot has been done to develop Armenian rural community”, - Nelly Avetisyan, an entrepreneur, who is currently producing natural hand-made soaps “Verde”, mentioned after the visit.
Anahit Karapetyan, representative of State Employment Service Agency, mentioned, that as a result of the study visit new contacts and cooperation were established, as well as some primary arrangements have been stated.
The participants were admired with the work done by the households and appreciated their readiness to exchange their experience within the Women Entrepreneurs Network.
The aim of study visits is to strengthen partnership among women entrepreneurs and give them opportunity to know better each other, share information about the Women Entrepreneurs Network members activity, which is additional advertisement for them.
“Developing Women Entrepreneurship in Armenia” project is being implemented by Armenian Young Women’s Association, since 2011, with financial support of U.S. Embassy in Republic of Armenia. The aim of the project is to encourage women economic participation in Republic of Armenia by creating Women Entrepreneurs Network, as well as underline the importance of women economic participation for Armenia, and create strong cooperation amongst women entrepreneurs from all the regions of Armenia.
